Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

I am not a big fan of animations; but having watched the first two installments on big screen, I couldn’t miss the sequel, could I?

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked features the Chipmunks and Chipettes marooned in a volcanic island together with Dave and “Uncle Ian” in a ridiculous pelican suit. With a plot akin to a typical cartoon episode, I did feel a little comatose midway through the movie.

But the movie does have its plusses: there were the numerous little scenes that send the entire theatre into gaffers. And the harmonious singing of the little ones was pretty impressive; crooning the familiar hits like “Bad Romance” and “Born This Way”.
