How did you get acquainted with guitar playing?

I learnt the guitar from my father, who patiently taught me my very first chords!

Actually I learnt it initially to impress a girl - although it didn't eventually work out, I learnt an important life skill :)

Describe your first experience playing on a guitar.

I'm more of a chords guy - and it fascinated me to learn about the vastly different chords on the guitar. I struggled so much with the C chord, and almost gave up on my first day. Luckily I didn’t!!

What is the best thing about being a guitarist?

People do look up to you for making music with it!

Music means a lot of different things to a lot of different people - and to make music with my guitar makes people really happy, making me happy too :)

How many guitars do you currently own?

I own an Ibanez acoustic, my very first guitar. When I got better at the guitar, I got a Lag T100ACE, a French guitar from LutherMusic!

And recently, I snagged myself a Taylor GS Mini E Koa from Sinamex, which is aesthetically amazing and beautifully sounding :)

If your house is on fire, which one would you run out with? Why?

Definitely the Taylor. Too beautiful to leave behind hahah.

First guitar: Yamaha Classical (from aunt) in 2013

Favourite guitar brand/ model: Currently my own Taylor GS Mini Koa :)

Favourite guitarist: Sungha Jung! Really soulful and expressive in his guitar playing.

First song you learned to play on guitar: Fall For You & 当你孤单你会想起谁

Song you love to play most on guitar: All of Me! Love to busk with it :)

Tips for aspiring guitarists: Learning to play the guitar is a really intriguing life skill! Persevere on because one more guitarist in the world makes the world a better place :)
