2. P!nk – Perfect
A rather controversial song whose music video depicts self destructive behavior e.g. anorexia, self mutilation. But going beyond, the turn in the plot sends the message that no matter how messed up you are, you have the power to take control of your life by accepting circumstances as they are and subsequently change it for the better. I was especially touched by the last scene where the woman goes into her daughter’s room, place her childhood teddy beside her and mouths: "you are perfect to me".

3. Demi Lovato – Skyscrapper
Another song that offers motivation when the going gets tough. As a normal human being, I sometimes get overwhelmed by the struggles and difficulties in my life and cower in vulnerability. But listening to this song instills some kind of defiant motivation to challenge whatever obstacles in my way and rise above them.
